♥ 10 years later
I was just walking, only passing by,
And your familiar face caught my eye.
I wasn't exactly where I was supposed to be,
But before I knew it, you were there in front of me.
Just seeing you there, filled me with joy,
Somewhere inside, you were still 'that boy'.
That boy I use to watch, across the classroom each day,
That boy I nervously asked, if he wanted to play.
You've changed and I've changed, as most people do,
But still I was happy, just to see you.
We are different people now, but our past is the same,
My heart still skips a beat, whenever I hear your name.
Every now and then, I'll steal a quick glance,
A part of me still wishes, you'd ask me to dance.
Because no matter what, you don't forget your first crush,
At the very least now, you don't still make me blush.
I move forward and smile, knowing you didn't forget me,
Let us walk our separate paths now. Let us be happy.
It's been so long since I've written a poem.
Sitting down at a coffee place and writing sure is nice! Honestly it reminds me of how Nagayan is known to go around to Starbucks, write songs and takes pictures of himself, kehe.
Sitting there and drawing or writing, either. Both. Haha.
